Work Permits, Port Transformation, and Ease of Doing Business on the Agenda of the High Level Committee

The topics of work permits, port transformation, and the Ease of Doing Business were discussed at the High Level Steering Committee, which was established to monitor the implementation of the Government Program 2025-2029. The meeting was chaired by Junior Minister Daneshwar Damry and took place on Thursday morning, November 27, as it does every month.

Representatives from the private sector, including Business Mauritius, the MCCI, and MEXA, as well as representatives from the Economic Development Board, also participated in this meeting.

The chairperson informed the committee members that the Prime Minister has asked the Economic Development Board to assess the administrative obstacles faced by businesses, including small and medium-sized enterprises, in conducting their activities and to propose corrective measures as soon as possible.
