Mamy Ravatomanga to be Transferred to Prison

Mamy Ravatomanga will be transferred to Melrose prison as soon as he is discharged from Victoria Hospital in Candos.

This decision was made by the Port-Louis court on Monday, December 1st. The police assured that Melrose prison has the necessary facilities to care for sick inmates.

Last Thursday, the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) requested his transfer to this high-security prison, stating that there was no justification for keeping Mamy Ravatomanga in police custody.

The Malagasy billionaire is facing a provisional charge of conspiracy as well as two charges of money laundering in the Port-Louis court.
