Mamy Ravatomanga Transferred to Melrose Prison Under Heavy Police Escort

Final destination for Mamy Ravatomanga this Tuesday, December 2: the businessman was escorted to Melrose Prison under heavy police protection, accompanied by agents from the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC).

His day started at Brown Sequard Psychiatric Hospital for a medical examination. He was then transferred to Victoria Hospital, where he underwent further tests before being placed under observation in a room pending the results.

The decision to transfer Mamy Ravatomanga to prison was made by the Port Louis court the day before. The police assured that Melrose Prison has the necessary facilities to care for sick inmates.

The Malagasy billionaire faces a provisional charge of conspiracy as well as two counts of money laundering.
