Melrose Prison: An Inmate Dies Following a Violent Altercation

A violent altercation occurred on Tuesday evening at Melrose Prison. Around 8 PM, an inmate succumbed to his injuries. Police officers from the Montagne-Blanche station and CID personnel were dispatched to the scene.

According to our sources close to the police, the guards have not yet provided any information regarding the circumstances of the incident. We have also learned that a SAMU team was dispatched, but they were reportedly denied access as the prison already has a doctor on site.
