Weather: Heavy Rain Advisory Issued for Mauritius
A heavy rain advisory has been issued for Mauritius at 12:30 PM on Friday, December 12, by the Vacoas weather station. This advisory is valid until 10 PM.
"The atmospheric conditions remain humid and unstable, leading to the formation of active clouds over the island. Intense localized downpours, accompanied by thunderstorms, are observed in the western half of the island as well as on the central plateau. These downpours are expected to continue and extend to other areas," states the meteorological service in its announcement.
In case of heavy thunderstorms, the public is advised to:

Stay indoors and avoid plains, hiking, going out to sea, and taking shelter under trees.
