Fifteen people have been killed and at least 40 others injured in a shooting that occurred during a Jewish celebration on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, police reported early Monday with an updated toll.
"Police can confirm that 16 people have died and that 40 individuals remain hospitalized following the shooting that took place yesterday at Bondi," the New South Wales police stated on social media. This figure includes one of the shooters, who died during the attack, the police later clarified to AFP.
