A 44-year-old police sergeant sustained severe burns to his face, head, hands, and feet following the explosion of a gas water heater in his bathroom. The incident occurred yesterday, December 15. The resident of Rivière-du-Rempart was initially taken to the local health center before being transferred to the burns unit at Victoria Hospital, where he is currently being treated. His condition is reported to be stable.
