The president of the Blood Donors Association, Dewanand Hossen, provided an update at 2 PM on the progress of the Mega Blood Donation event organized this Wednesday in Port-Louis. Donations began at 6 AM, and by midday, over 800 pints of blood had been collected. Early in the afternoon, the total reached approximately 900 pints.

The collection continues until 6 PM, with a possible extension until 6:30 PM, aiming to reach a target of 1,500 pints of blood. Two locations are open to the public: the esplanade of the Port-Louis municipality and Rue du Vieux-Conseil, where teams are ready to welcome donors.

The association's president reminded that this collection aims to bolster the reserves of the Blood Bank as the year-end holidays approach and encouraged available individuals to come and donate.
