A weak high-pressure ridge extends over our region. Some clouds from the south are influencing the local weather early this morning. After a generally partly cloudy early morning, it will become occasionally cloudy in the East, Southeast, and Central Plateau with some light showers, but it will be fine afterwards.

The southeast wind will blow at around 20 km/h with gusts up to 50 km/h. The sea will be rough with swells of about 2.5 meters. Outings at sea are not recommended.

The maximum temperature will range between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius in the highlands and between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius in coastal areas. The minimum temperature will be between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius on the Central Plateau and between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius on the coast.

About Grant:

At 4 AM this Friday, the moderate tropical storm Grant was centered around the point 15.9 degrees South latitude and 67.6 degrees East longitude, far to the northeast of Mauritius. Grant is moving west at about 6 km/h and will not directly affect the weather in the Mascarene Islands.
