A weak high-pressure ridge extends over our region. Some clouds from the southern sector are influencing local weather early this morning. After generally overcast skies early on, it will become partly cloudy in the East, Southeast, and Central Plateau with some light showers, but it will clear up later.

The southeast wind will blow at about 20 km/h, with gusts reaching around 50 km/h. The sea will be rough with swells of about 2.5 meters. Outings at sea are not recommended.

The maximum temperature will range between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius in the higher areas and between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius along the coast. The minimum temperature will be between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius on the Central Plateau and between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius on the coast.

At 4 AM this Friday, the moderate tropical storm Grant was centered around 15.9 degrees South latitude and 67.6 degrees East longitude, far northeast of Mauritius. Grant is moving westward at about 6 km/h and will not directly influence the weather in the Mascarenes.
