The weather will be cloudy to overcast, with scattered showers that will become more widespread across the island by tomorrow. These showers may be moderate to heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms. Pockets of fog are also expected in certain areas. Therefore, a heavy rain alert is currently in effect in Mauritius.

Water accumulation is likely in flood-prone areas, and visibility will be reduced due to fog and showers. The public is advised to stay indoors, avoid low-lying areas, refrain from hiking, avoid going out to sea, and not to seek shelter under trees during thunderstorms.
