Incident at Palmar Beach: A Tenth Suspect Arrested
A tenth suspect has been arrested following the incidents that occurred last Sunday at Palmar Beach. This is a 22-year-old resident of Fond-du-Sac, who was apprehended for rebellion.
Police had responded to the scene after receiving a complaint about music being played at an excessive volume. They were reportedly confronted by a group of individuals, and police vehicles were damaged as a result.
The nine suspects already arrested in this case were brought before the Flacq court yesterday. A provisional charge of rebellion was filed against eight of them, including a member of the ADSU.
The ninth suspect, on the other hand, was granted bail after being charged with "Rogue and Vagabond."
The investigation is ongoing.
