After a Few Morning Showers, Weather Will Improve Throughout the Day

After some showers in the morning, the weather is expected to improve during the day.

A heavy rain warning is in effect for Mauritius until 10 AM this Friday. Active clouds from the northern sector will influence local weather this morning. The morning will be cloudy with showers, which could be moderate to locally heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms. The weather will get better throughout the day.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy with some showers mainly in the south and on higher ground. The northeast wind will blow at about 15 km/h, strengthening with gusts during the showers. The sea will be rough beyond the reefs with swells of about 2 meters, temporarily becoming strong under thunderstorm conditions.

The public is advised to stay sheltered and avoid plains, hiking, sea outings, and not to take shelter under trees during thunderstorms. Areas prone to water accumulation should be avoided. Caution is advised on the roads due to reduced visibility caused by heavy showers and fog.

The maximum temperature will range between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius on the Central Plateau and between 30 and 33 degrees Celsius in coastal areas. The minimum temperature will be between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius on the Central Plateau and between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius on the coast.
