Sunday Allowance: Partially Restored Right, Victory for the Trade Union Class

The government has approved the recommendation of the High-Powered Committee, chaired by the Cabinet Secretary and head of the Civil Service, regarding the payment of a Sunday Allowance to officers working in shifts or on a rotational basis on Sundays. This allowance will be reinstated at a rate equivalent to one day's salary, in addition to normal pay, marking a significant advancement after several months of discussions and union mobilizations.
