Murder of Beedwantee Beeharry: Her Son Returns to the Scene of the Crime
Kaylash Sharma Beeharry, aged 43, returned to the family home on Thursday, March 12, at Allée Jacques, St-Paul, Phoenix. Arrested on March 3 after the murder of his 63-year-old mother, Beedwantee Beeharry, he participated this morning in a reenactment of the events at the crime scene, under heavy police escort led by the Major Crimes Investigation Team. The alleged murderer was booed by local residents during this reenactment.
During his interrogation, Kaylash Sharma Beeharry admitted to having had an argument with his mother. He reportedly struck her against a wall in the yard multiple times before she succumbed to the blows. He has been provisionally charged with murder.
This tragedy has deeply affected the neighbors, who were aware of the son’s violent behavior when under the influence of alcohol. No incidents were reported during the reenactment. Also included is a video featuring a testimony from one of Beedwantee Beeharry's neighbors.
