Emergency Landing of Helicopter in Albion: The Aircraft Will Not Take Off Tonight
An Indian Navy helicopter that was forced to make an emergency landing this Thursday afternoon in Albion will not take off tonight. The pilot made this decision after conducting an initial check of the aircraft.
The Police Helicopter Squadron has provided assistance to perform a preliminary examination of the device.
Mauritian technicians will carry out a thorough inspection tomorrow. In the meantime, the helicopter will be under the supervision of the Mauritian police force.
According to initial reports, the aircraft was participating in an aerial display organized as part of the Independence Day celebrations of Mauritius at Champ-de-Mars when a technical failure allegedly occurred.
Further information suggests that a warning light illuminated on the dashboard, indicating an engine problem.
The pilot then made an emergency landing in a plot of land located in front of the Albion lighthouse to avoid any risk.
