Weather: A tropical disturbance northwest of Agalega may be named 'Indusa' and influence the weather in the coming days

A tropical disturbance was located approximately 390 km northwest of Agalega at 10 AM, according to the weather bulletin issued at 12:15 PM on Friday, March 13.

According to information and analysis from the Vacoas meteorological station, the system is developing in an environment conducive to intensification. If it strengthens to the level of a moderate tropical storm, it will be named "Indusa" by the Mauritius meteorological services.

The system is expected to move southeast, approaching the Mascarene Islands over the next three days.

In Agalega, the system will first influence weather conditions with thunderstorms and rough seas within the next 24 hours.

In Saint Brandon, showers are anticipated, and the sea will be moderate to rough with swells.

In Rodrigues, active clouds associated with the system will begin to affect the weather starting Saturday evening. Showers are expected to become frequent and sometimes heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms from Sunday, March 15. The sea will be rough with swells.

In Mauritius, the peripheral cloud bands of the system are expected to influence the weather starting Sunday evening with scattered showers. The high seas will become rough with swells.
