Re-elected as President of the MSDTF – Bhojraj Ghoorbin: "We are a non-political team focused on religion"

Re-elected on Sunday as the president of the Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation (MSDTF), Bhojraj Ghoorbin expressed his delight at his team's complete victory following the internal election held at Sanatan Vatika in Réduit.

His slate of seventeen (17) candidates secured all key executive and board positions within the federation. Bhojraj Ghoorbin received 607 votes, significantly surpassing his opponent Ashish Woochit, who was also running for the presidency with his own team.

"It is a great pleasure to see our entire team win. This is the third time we have been trusted to lead," stated Bhojraj Ghoorbin after the results were announced.

Having been re-elected for a third consecutive two-year term, he believes this victory sends a strong signal in favor of the work undertaken over several years at the helm of the federation. According to him, his team intends to continue ongoing projects and introduce new initiatives within the organization.

"We have creative ideas that have never been implemented in the history of the Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation," he added.

Bhojraj Ghoorbin also acknowledged that the election was not straightforward. "This was not an easy election," he noted.

However, he stressed his team’s positioning, describing it as non-partisan. "We are a non-political team, and we are here to focus on religion. We will work with the government of the day," he asserted, adding that the victory of his entire team should facilitate the implementation of their projects since "there will be no one to block us."
