Drug Importation Incident: Steven Moothoocurpen and an ADSU Inspector Arrested

A significant operation by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) resulted in the arrest of Steven Moothoocurpen, 35, on Tuesday, March 24. He has been provisionally charged with conspiracy to commit an illegal act as well as for the importation of dangerous drugs. The case involves the seizure of 5.06 kilograms of a substance believed to be synthetic drugs, valued at approximately Rs 75.9 million, which was shipped from Hong Kong in June 2024.
