Weather: Mauritius Under the Influence of an Anticyclone
An anticyclone located to the south of the Mascarenes is generating moderate trade winds in our region. Clouds associated with these winds will occasionally pass over the island.
While the weather will be pleasant in the morning, it will become partly cloudy during the day, with occasional showers, especially in the east, south, and elevated areas. According to the weather bulletin from the Vacoas Meteorological Station issued this Saturday, cloudy periods are expected during the night, accompanied by showers in the eastern half of the island, the south, and the central plateau.
The maximum temperature will vary between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius in the highlands and between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius along the coastal regions.
The minimum temperature will range from 19 to 21 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius on the coast.
Winds will blow from the southeast at around 20 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h.
The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with swells from the southwest measuring about 2.5 meters.
Going out to sea is not recommended.
