Murder of Jean Richard Bryan Alifoykooye: A Second Suspect Arrested

An autopsy conducted this Sunday on 35-year-old Jean Richard Bryan Alifoykooye concluded that he died from a stab wound to the neck.

The deceased's body was discovered on Saturday at his home in Cité La Brasserie, where he was found in bed, surrounded by a pool of blood.

His partner, 29-year-old Laura Beatrice Travady, was arrested on Saturday night in La Ferme, Rodrigues, at her mother's residence by Inspector Félicité from the Divisional Crime Intelligence Unit (DCIU) of Rodrigues. She had left Mauritius early on Saturday.

Her repatriation is expected in the coming days as part of the investigation led by the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) and the Curepipe CID.

Additionally, a second suspect has been detained in connection with this case for facilitating the alleged suspect's escape to Rodrigues.
