St-Félix: Jaisen Sooreea, 22, Killed on a Public Beach
A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation into a deadly knife attack that occurred on the public beach of St-Félix on Tuesday, April 14.
Four men were attacked during this incident. One of them, Jaisen Sooreea, 22, from Surinam, succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of the morning. An autopsy conducted by Dr. Maxwell Monvoisin and Dr. Seewooruthun determined that the victim died from a fatal stab wound to the chest.
According to collected information, the suspect, a resident of Rose-Belle, allegedly attacked the victims with a knife before fleeing the scene. One of the injured individuals reported the events to the police.
The victims were initially taken to the hospital. The other three injured individuals were able to leave the facility after receiving treatment.
The motive behind this fatal attack is still unknown.
