MMM: 14 Municipal Councillors, 16 Central Committee Members, and 5 Political Bureau Members Dismissed
The leaders of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM) held a press conference following a central committee meeting on Saturday, April 18. Fourteen out of the 54 municipal councillors, including mayors elected in the last municipal elections, have been dismissed from the party's ranks. Additionally, 16 out of the 80 central committee members were also removed. Furthermore, 5 members of the MMM's political bureau have been dismissed.
The announcement was made by Reza Uteem.
"These 14 municipal councillors lacked the decency to resign due to their attachment to their positions. Out of the 80 central committee members, we have received 12 resignations. The central committee decided to revoke 16 individuals for their conduct against the interests of the MMM and based on recommendations from their respective regions. In a third motion voted unanimously, the decision was made to dismiss 5 members of the political bureau," Reza Uteem emphasized.
