Plaine-des-Papayes: Fatima Nundloll, accused of murdering her mother, admitted to Brown-Séquard Hospital
Fatima Nundloll, 42, is accused of killing her mother, Byetoolun Nundloll, 68, in Bois-Mangue, Plaine-des-Papayes. The victim was found stabbed in her bedroom in the night from Sunday, April 19 to Monday, April 20.
According to testimony from Byeswaley Nundloll, 76, the victim's husband, their daughter had a strained relationship with her mother. Around 2 a.m., while the elderly woman was sleeping with her younger daughter, the eldest allegedly attacked her. Despite the intervention of emergency services, the victim did not survive her injuries. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
Married for 44 years, Byetoolun Nundloll was described as a devoted woman by her husband. The couple has three children: two daughters and a son.
Fatima Nundloll, who is believed to suffer from psychiatric disorders, is currently admitted to Brown-Séquard Psychiatric Hospital after being examined by doctors on Monday.
According to initial police reports, a kitchen knife was reportedly used in the incident.
