Plaine-des-Papayes: Fatima Nundloll, accused of murdering her mother, admitted to Brown-Séquard Hospital

Fatima Nundloll, 42, is accused of murdering her mother, Byetoolun Nundloll, 68, in Bois-Mangue, Plaine-des-Papayes. The victim was found fatally injured in her bedroom during the night of Sunday, April 19 to Monday, April 20.

According to testimony from Byeswaley Nundloll, 76, the victim's husband, their daughter had a troubled relationship with her mother. Around 2 AM, while the elderly woman was sleeping with her younger daughter, the elder daughter allegedly attacked her. Despite emergency intervention, the victim did not survive her injuries. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.

Married for 44 years, Byetoolun Nundloll was described as a devoted woman by her husband. The couple had three children: two daughters and one son.

Fatima Nundloll, who is believed to suffer from psychiatric disorders, is currently admitted to Brown-Séquard psychiatric hospital after undergoing examination by doctors on Monday.

According to initial police reports, a kitchen knife was allegedly used in the incident.
