MMM: 54 members from different branches of Regional Committee No. 1 resign
A group of 54 members from various branches of the Regional Committee No. 1 (Grande-Rivière-Nord-Ouest/Port-Louis Ouest) of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM) announced their collective resignation effective immediately this Friday morning.
In a letter addressed to the party's Secretary General, Rajesh Bhagwan, these members stated that they would go to the party's secretariat located on La Poudrière Street in Port-Louis to officially notify their withdrawal.
According to the document submitted, the resigning members are leaving not only their respective branches in Constituency No. 1 but also all their roles and affiliations within the MMM.
This decision is described as a collective and organized effort. It follows the call made by former leader Paul Bérenger for a regrouping of activists under a new political banner.
