Trianon: Noise Pollution During a Car Meet, One Driver Arrested

On the evening of Saturday, April 25, police conducted an operation in the parking lot of Tribeca Mall, resulting in the arrest of a driver during an informal vehicle gathering, commonly referred to as a "car meet." Acting on intelligence, law enforcement targeted this event where several motorists had congregated, some blasting loud music.

During the checks, one driver tested positive for drugs and was also arrested for possession of an offensive weapon. The suspect has been detained as part of an ongoing investigation. A total of 46 motorists were checked during this joint operation, which involved several units, including the Road Safety Unit, ERS, SMF, DSU, and Environmental Police. Nine drivers were fined for various traffic violations.

The police remind that illegal gatherings of this type are prohibited and violators may face penalties.
