Murder of Bryan Alifoykooye: Laura Beatrice Travady Returns to the Scene of the Crime
Laura Beatrice Travady, 29, arrested after the death of her partner in La Brasserie, returned to the crime scene this Wednesday. On April 29, Laura Beatrice Travady, the main suspect in the murder of Bryan Alifoykooye, participated in a reenactment of the events.
A close friend, worried about not hearing from Bryan Alifoykooye, raised the alarm. On April 11, his lifeless body was discovered in his room at Cité La Brasserie, Forest Side. The victim had been slashed.
At the time of the discovery, the main suspect had already left Mauritius for Rodrigues.
Laura Beatrice Travady had taken a flight from Plaisance Airport to Rodrigues that same Saturday morning. She claimed she went to the island to leave her child with a relative.
The 29-year-old woman’s escape lasted only a few hours. She was arrested on April 11 in Rodrigues as part of the investigation and was returned under police escort to Mauritius on April 23.
A second suspect has also been apprehended: Steven Rungen, 29, a resident of Roche Bois. He is suspected of having assisted Laura Beatrice Travady in fleeing to Rodrigues after the fatal attack.
