Erosion: Tamarin Beach Under Threat, Urgent Works Initiated

Tamarin Beach is visibly receding. In just a few days, nearly 30 meters of sand have disappeared from a stretch of 150 meters due to a combination of strong swells and unauthorized human intervention. Present on site on Saturday, May 2, Environment Minister Rajesh Bhagwan oversaw emergency works that began on April 30. The situation is attributed to the natural fragility of the site, located at the mouth of two rivers and lacking protection.
