Triolet: Reconstruction of Events Following the Murder of Koomunty Mathurasingh

After appearing in court on Monday, June 23, Ravish Kumar Seetul, 36, participated in a reconstruction exercise in Triolet. He was arrested for the fatal assault of Koomunty (Santa) Mathurasingh, 79, and for attacking Gyantee Humawtee Ramnarain, 83, as well as for burglarizing their home on the night of June 22. During his interrogation, he confessed to the crimes.
Investigators also established his involvement in a robbery that took place a few days prior to this tragedy. The suspect was identified through surveillance footage. He has been provisionally charged with murder, and the investigation continues under the supervision of the Major Crime Investigation Team.
While Koomunty Mathurasingh and Gyantee Humawtee Ramnarain were asleep, an intruder broke in. They were bound, gagged, and beaten. Koomunty Mathurasingh did not survive the attack. Her body was found under a mattress, with her wrists bound by tape and string, and her mouth obstructed by clothing.
Her sister, Gyantee Humawtee Ramnarain, is currently hospitalized at the Northern Hospital.
