147 Foreign Workers Missing

147 foreign workers are reported missing. An employee from KPMG alerted the Coromandel police station yesterday, Thursday, October 9. These workers were part of the Star Knitwear Ltd factory, which has been under judicial administration since June 4 of this year.

According to available figures, out of 356 foreign employees, 155 have already been repatriated at the expense of the Ministry of Labor, which will need to be reimbursed.

About 60 others have applied for work permits. This situation raises many questions.

When contacted, a representative from the Ministry of Labor stated that no official complaints have been received so far.
