Weather: Storm Chenge Moving Towards Agalega

At 4:00 AM on Monday, October 20, Tropical Storm "Chenge" was located approximately 1,280 km east-northeast of Agalega. It is currently moving west-southwest at a speed of about 10 km/h, getting closer to Agalega.

Due to the presence of "Chenge" in the region, the sea around Mauritius remains rough beyond the reefs, with swells from the southwest measuring about 3 meters. Offshore trips and activities in the lagoons of the south and west are not recommended.

The sea state in the lagoons will gradually improve throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the day is expected to be generally sunny, while the night will be partly cloudy with some isolated showers in the highlands.

Maximum temperatures will range between 22 and 25 °C on the central plateau and between 27 and 30 °C in coastal areas. Minimum temperatures will be between 15 and 18 °C in the highlands and 20 to 22 °C along the coast.

The wind will blow from the east-southeast at 15 to 25 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h.
