Tamarin: A Chinese Tourist Drowns

A 42-year-old Chinese national drowned yesterday, Monday, October 20, in front of a hotel in Tamarin. The man had been on vacation in Mauritius since October 17 and ventured into the sea with a 50-year-old friend.

Initial reports suggest that despite the presence of red flags and warnings from hotel staff, the two men decided to swim from a rocky area. Volunteers attempted to rescue them, but one of them, the 42-year-old, had already passed away. His friend was urgently transported to the hospital and is currently in intensive care.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the exact cause of death. The two tourists were supposed to return to their country today.
