Money Laundering: Wendip Appaya Granted Parole

Wendip Appaya, the head of Dynapro Cleaning Services, who is suspected of money laundering, was granted parole yesterday after spending more than a month in preventive detention. He was accompanied by his lawyer, Mᵉ Yash Bhadain. In front of the District Court of Port-Louis South, presided over by Magistrate Prashant Bissoon, Inspector Deewoo of the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) did not raise any objections to his release.
