Ibrahim Edoo Celebrates His 100th Birthday
Ibrahim Edoo, also known as Alfred, has officially joined the exclusive club of centenarians. Born on December 17, 1925, he celebrated his 100th birthday yesterday at a ceremony organized at his home by the Ministry of Social Integration, Social Security, and National Solidarity.
Several notable personalities were present at the event, including the Minister of Housing and Land, Shakeel Mohamed; the Minister of Transport, Osman Mahomed; the Minister of Industry, SMEs, and Cooperatives, Aadil Ameer Meea; and MP Mr. Ehsan Juman.
The new centenarian was honored with special gifts: a bouquet of flowers, a medal, a centenarian certificate, along with a check for Rs 26,203 and a stove. Additionally, he received an extra check of Rs 10,000 from the National Solidarity Fund, gifts from the Elderly Council, and a special telephone service.
Religiously married to Bibi Cateeze Mawlabaccos, Ibrahim is the father of four sons and one daughter, grandfather of ten grandchildren, and great-grandfather of seven great-grandchildren. During the celebration, he shared that his longevity is due to his unwavering faith in God and good eating habits.
