Palmar Incidents: Suspect Keerpah Seeks Release

The case regarding the incidents that occurred at the public beach of Palmar continues to evolve in the judicial sphere. While eight defendants appeared in Flacq court on January 27, new actions are being taken by the defense of one of them, Akshaye Keerpah (photo). Seven suspects have been provisionally charged with riot and remain in custody following police objections. An eighth defendant, identified by the initials T. G., has been released on parole.
