Tourism: Revenue Up 32% in January

Mauritius' tourism revenue reached Rs 11.287 billion in January 2026, compared to Rs 8.553 billion in January 2025, marking a 32% increase, according to data released by the Bank of Mauritius.

In response to these figures, the Minister of Tourism, Richard Duval, emphasizes that the growth of the sector is evident, both in terms of tourist arrivals and the revenue generated. Arrival statistics for February are also expected to confirm this positive trend.
