Manufacturing Sector: Producer Prices Increase Slightly

The Producer Price Index for the manufacturing sector (PPI-M) rose by 1.0 point, representing an increase of 0.6%, between February and March, according to the latest data released by Statistics Mauritius. This increase is primarily attributed to rising prices for food and beverage products, as well as some other manufactured goods, including gold jewelry.

Conversely, there was a decline in prices within the transportation equipment category.
