Madagascar: Antananarivo Suffers from Water Cuts
Residents of Antananarivo and its surrounding areas are facing a new wave of prolonged water cuts, which is fueling anger in several neighborhoods of the Malagasy capital. For several days, the national water and electricity company, Jirama, has been implementing a load-shedding program that the population finds particularly burdensome.
No water has flowed into homes or at the nearby public fountain for the past two days, causing significant distress among the residents.
