Awarding of Contracts Worth Rs 30 Billion to Mercantile & Maritime Group: Rajiv Servansingh Questioned Again by the FCC

Rajiv Servansingh, former CEO of the State Trading Corporation (STC), was questioned again by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) on Tuesday, April 28. His hearing was conducted under caution.
This inquiry is part of an investigation into a contract worth over 691 million US dollars, equivalent to more than 31 billion rupees, awarded by the STC to Mercantile and Maritime Company Limited for fuel supply in 2023.
One troubling aspect raised during this investigation is that MMG did not participate in the initial tender exercise launched in May 2023.
Rajiv Servansingh is represented by lawyer Me Shyam Servansingh. It is worth noting that FCC investigators had previously searched his home and seized his electronic devices.
