Bank of Mauritius: Compensation of Rs 5.5 million to Sithanen and Rs 512,000 to Sanspeur

The resumption of parliamentary sessions on Tuesday, October 7, was marked by a Private Notice Question (PNQ) from the opposition leader, Joe Lesjongard, directed to Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam regarding the recent resignations at the Bank of Mauritius (BoM).

The opposition demanded clarifications about the circumstances surrounding the departures of Rama Sithanen, the former governor, and Gérard Sanspeur, the former Second Deputy Governor, as well as the financial compensations awarded to them.
