Ravatomanga Case: 'No one will be spared,' asserts the PM during the PNQ

In the Ravatomanga case, Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam stated that no one would be spared in the ongoing investigations during a Private Notice Question (PNQ) session on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The PNQ addressed questions regarding the passengers of a private jet, the luggage transported, and the investigation initiated by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC). The opposition leader, Joe Lesjongard, also raised allegations against certain FCC officials. Ramgoolam promised transparency and rigor in handling the case.

Reports reveal that the jet carried five passengers, including Malagasy businessman Mamy Ravatomanga and his associates, along with two crew members and a total of nine bags. According to the Prime Minister, the landing appears to have been planned.

Lesjongard later inquired about the FCC investigation into Mamy Ravatomanga. The PM assured the integrity of the investigation and indicated that health officials from the Ministry of Health would be sent to the private clinic where Ravatomanga is located to assess his health condition.

The opposition leader also questioned the government regarding the recognition of the current regime in Madagascar. Ramgoolam clarified that the ongoing transition is not a military coup, emphasizing the need for a return to civilian elections on the island.
