Controversial Landing: Lesjongard Urges Ramgoolam to Act
Joe Lesjongard expressed surprise that no sanctions have yet been imposed on the members of the Jet Prime board, despite a report he deems damning for this subsidiary of Airport Holdings Ltd.
During a press conference held by the MSM on the afternoon of October 28 at Sun Trust, the opposition leader commented on the controversial landing of the private jet in Mauritius. He stated that the resignation of Kishore Beegoo is not enough to shed light on the matter. He calls on Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam to take immediate action.
Furthermore, Joe Lesjongard mentioned that opposition MPs have sent a letter to the chairman of the parliamentary commission of the FCC, Daneshwar Damry, requesting an emergency meeting following revelations in the investigation concerning Malagasy businessman Mamy Ravatomanga. He demands that an independent institution be tasked with clarifying these allegations.
As a reminder, the Private Notice Question from the opposition leader this morning focused on the Ravatomanga case. Navin Ramgoolam stated that "no one will be spared" and submitted the report of the committee investigating the controversial landing of the private jet to the National Assembly.
