Ravatomanga Case: Junaid Fakim Admitted to Clinic After Visit to Candos Hospital

Junaid Haroon Fakim, the former commissioner of the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC), has been admitted to a private clinic after a visit to Victoria Hospital in Candos, where he underwent medical examinations on Thursday afternoon, October 30.

Earlier that day, the former FCC commissioner was arrested by the same commission as part of an investigation into a bribery case linked to the inquiry involving Malagasy businessman Mamy Ravatomanga, who is suspected of money laundering.

During his appearance before the Rose-Hill District Court, the FCC opposed his request for bail. The hearing on this request is scheduled for November 3.

The magistrate subsequently ordered Junaid Fakim's transfer to Victoria Hospital for medical examinations. A cardiologist, who testified in court, indicated that the former commissioner has health issues.
