PNQ: The Cost of Living and the Loss of Purchasing Power on the Agenda

The cost of living and the loss of purchasing power will be at the center of the Private Notice Question (PNQ) at the National Assembly this Tuesday, November 25. Opposition leader Joe Lesjongard will address the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Protection, Michael Sik Yuen.

Joe Lesjongard is seeking detailed information on the expenditures made from the 2 billion rupees injected into the Price Stabilization Fund. The Minister will also be required to provide the actual amount utilized, as well as an assessment of the cost of the household shopping basket. Furthermore, he will need to comment on the price developments of essential products and indicate the expected trends for the next three months.
