PNQ: Michael Sik Yuen: "Without our measures, the cost of living would have skyrocketed"
The cost of living was a hot topic in the National Assembly on Tuesday, November 25, during the Private Notice Question (PNQ) from the opposition leader, Joe Lesjongard, directed at the Minister of Commerce, Michael Sik Yuen. The opposition aimed to understand the exact use of the Rs 2 billion injected into the Price Stabilisation Fund, the anticipated changes in the prices of essential goods, and the cost of the consumption basket as of October 31.
Michael Sik Yuen immediately contextualized the situation, stating that without the measures implemented by the government, the cost of living would have surged dramatically.
