A 43-Year-Old Mauritian Stabbed to Death in France

A 43-year-old Mauritian has been fatally stabbed in France. The victim, Selven Gobourdhan, was found dead last Saturday in his apartment in Saint-Flour, located in the Cantal department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The presumed perpetrator is none other than his neighbor and friend, who has been arrested. The motive for the tragedy remains unknown at this time.

Having settled in France since January, Selven Gobourdhan, originally from Bain-des-Dames, was scheduled to return to Mauritius this Friday to celebrate the holidays with his family.

According to the online media outlet La Montagne, the victim, a mason by profession, was discovered by firefighters already deceased from his injuries. The alleged attacker, a 59-year-old resident of Saint-Flour known for theft and drug use, is the one who called the police.
