Selven Gobourdhan, aged 43, was scheduled to return to Mauritius on Friday, December 5. However, he was found dead last Saturday in his apartment in Saint-Flour, located in the Cantal department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The news has deeply shocked his loved ones. A childhood friend, interviewed by RadioPlus, reported that Selven Gobourdhan had been living in France for 13 years. The arrangements for repatriating his body have already begun, but the family is still seeking assistance to finalize the process.

The alleged perpetrator, a neighbor and friend, has been arrested. According to the online media outlet La Montagne, the victim, a professional mason, was discovered by firefighters, already deceased from his injuries. He had been fatally attacked with a knife.
