A Mauritian Stabbed to Death in France: Selven Gobourdhan was Due to Return Home on Friday, December 5

Selven Gobourdhan, aged 43, was supposed to return to Mauritius this Friday, December 5. However, he was found dead last Saturday in his apartment in Saint-Flour, located in the Cantal department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The news has deeply shocked his loved ones. A childhood friend, interviewed by Radio Plus, stated that Selven Gobourdhan had been living in France for 13 years. The process to repatriate his body has already started, but the family is still seeking assistance to finalize the procedure.

The alleged perpetrator, a neighbor and friend, has been arrested. According to online media La Montagne, the victim, who worked as a mason, was found by firefighters, already deceased from his injuries. He is believed to have been fatally attacked with a knife.
