Abandoned Baby Found in a Bag Outside a Church in Rose-Hill: A 29-Year-Old Woman Arrested
A 29-year-old woman has been arrested after abandoning her baby in a bag outside a church in Rose-Hill on Thursday evening. She is a resident of Dagotière and confessed during her interrogation by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Rose-Hill.
Investigators managed to identify her through meticulous work by the Divisional Crime Intelligence Unit (DCIU) of the Western Division, with support from the Safe City surveillance cameras. The suspect is currently being questioned by the police as they prepare for her preliminary charge in front of the Rose-Hill District Court scheduled for tomorrow morning.
It is worth noting that the newborn, a female, was discovered by a local resident alongside three nuns. The baby had been placed in an insulated bag and was estimated to be one to two days old at the time of discovery.
